In 1980, the People of Praise music ministry recorded this collection of songs in association with the annual charismatic conference we administered. It was distributed there, and many of the songs were sung at the conference itself. It features a number of Scripture-based songs that were beginning to spread among charismatic prayer groups and communities—songs that we still use today, such as “Great and Wonderful” or the title song, “God, Make Us Your Family.” It also includes a growing number of songs written by People of Praise members, such as “The Resurrection Song.”
